Community College and University Seminars
The Center for Staff Development™ now offers academies, community colleges, four-year colleges and universities the opportunity to Host a Seminar on-site at your location.
With the continued limitations of adequate funding or profits, professional development for office managers, instructors and/or staff employees is usually the first area cut from school budgets. The Center for Staff Development™ has come up with a truly WIN-WIN situation for the problem.
Just as with our programs offered to public and private public schools, businesses and industries, YOUR college (or unit, department or division) can provide existing facilities, specifically the space and place for a staff development seminar, workshop or conference, AND provide your faculty members and/or staff and support employees FREE training and related instructional materials on ANY needed topic. Topics are unlimited and can range from special training for new office managers or department chairs to classroom management for teaching college freshmen to writing for professional publication When you submit a proposal to be a HOST for a specific event and it is approved, the Center for Staff Development™ will advertise the event to similar or related colleges and universities in your geographical area for an equal number of individuals to enroll and pay our standard fee to attend. We do all the work — booking the trainer/speaker, providing training materials, providing refreshments, certificates, etc. Where do we make our money?
If you propose that 20 individuals from your community college or university will be attending at no costs, we will enroll and receive payments for up to 20 additional individuals to attend. That’s IT…If the number for you is 25 than we can enroll 25 paying attendees, etc. Of course, we want to be sure we have the adequate space for the training. We do not like to go over a total of 50 individuals for classroom style training, but for 1-2 hour lectures conducted by a top speaker in a particular area, there is no limit as long as comfortable space is available.
We make sure topics are not designed for any direct competition with a similar college, but implemented where everyone can learn in the seminar and take what was learned back to the organization for immediate use or for sharing with other individuals. For example, a seminar on
Dealing with Difficult Employees or
Writing for Fun and Profit will have no direct impact between any competitors that may happen to enroll. Seminars are taught by highly qualified, experienced trainers who are nationally or regionally recognized for their expertise in their respective fields. Topics, time range and scope of seminars, mini conferences or expanded workshops are proposed by you as the HOST.
