Host a Seminar is an organization that is dedicated to quality staff development in ALL and ANY areas of education (K-12), business, industry and health-related organizations and to community colleges and public and private four-year colleges and universities, by using a simple and creative formula.
Schools, businesses, colleges or any club, organization needing staff development for faculty members, staff and support personnel or club members state their need on the appropriate proposal form education, business, or college and university and submit it to us, The Center for Staff Development.
We take your proposal and match your seminar or staff development needs with an appropriate speaker, seminar leader or staff development instructor AT NO COSTS TO YOU OR YOUR ORGANIZATION.
In return, you provide a space in a location within your organization, choose a number of attendees from your school, business, etc. to attend at no cost, and be a HOST for The Center for Staff Development by allowing us to advertise and charge individuals outside your group to attend.
That’s it! No catches or tricks. We are a very professional group of individuals that have worked in staff development for years and know how to find you the right person for your specific needs. We save money by not having to rent a building or seminar rooms at hotels, and you save money by sharing. The paying attendees from your surrounding areas WIN as well by saving travel costs and higher fees.
We use a simple model in designing our training model. For every one person you admit into your seminar, we place three paid individuals to finalize the total. For example if you want 10 teachers or 10 managers, we will admit twenty paid participants for a total of 30; for 20 of your staff, we admit 40 paid for a total of 60. We of course work with you to limit the number with respect to the classroom space for workshops (or larger if speeches for auditoriums) to make sure of a workable size group that is appropriate and instructionally appropriate.
All of our seminar leaders use a Train-the Trainer Model in order for individuals to take knowledge and materials back to their home groups and teach or share what was learned. As the Host, you have the largest group of trainers and perhaps have all of your members trained. Speakers for clubs and small organizations share information and knowledge for all who attend with providing information in a highly motivated style that will be remembered and used for years to come.
